IT1002 Review

Yes! Finally done with this freaking module! I totally surrender when I study this module. Cause it's related to IT! Damn hard! To be frank, if you post me a module related question now, I'm still 50% unsure! That's how noob I'm for this module! Yup. As for the final paper, it was quite okay I thought! But SHYT! I changed a correct answer to a wrong one again! DAMN!

For people who would like to take this module to clear your whatever requirements, take it only if you are IT savvy! It's really hard for non-IT liker. I struggled to the max at the start, and this last all the way to the end! But luckily, I had a very nice Teaching Assistant that guides me along patiently! Haha. As a result, this module which I hate most got me the first above average result during my programming practical exam. I have no idea how I did it. I would say, it's a miracle!!

As for the workload, there is one mid-term, one practical exam and five take home lab assignments! These assignments are damn hard I tell you! But luckily, my friends are always there to help! Haha. All in all, take this module only if you like IT, cause I think it's a damn easy IT module.

Time for more non-academic work. Just had a whole day of meeting today when I only turn in at 0530hrs yesterday morning. Yawn...

MKT1003 Review

MKT1003 - Principle of Marketing.

Yeah, one more paper down! The paper wasn't as hard as I had expected. Hehe. No interpretation of advertisements, no long winded questions and no calculations! Yeah. The MCQs were relative easy. But I got one question wrong already! DAMN! I place too much emphasis on the textbook already. I missed out some of the information in the notes! Grr. But well, it's over! Yay. Hope my overall grade is a decent one! (:

I would highly recommend this module for people who are interested in taking any biz module. It's a not stressful and very interesting module. The lecturer (Prof Ang) is super hilarious during the lecture which make the lecture less boring. It's definitely one of the most entertaining lecture among my other 5 modules! About the workload, the project and assignment are both manageable. Furthermore, the subject pool gives you monetary incentive if you are lucky to choose the right one! Hehehe. For the amount of stuff to study, well, it's HELL LOT! One whole big red textbook for you to digest for that 2hours paper. But be smart, spot question! And start your revision early! Attempting the past year MCQs is a MUST cause there bound to be repeated questions! But hey, all these are only applicable if your lecturer for the module during the semester is Prof Ang SH, cause her style is different from other lecturers apparently.

Alright. 4 more days to prepare myself for the most challenging module - Java!

LSM1301 Review

LSM1301 - General Biology.

Phew! Another module cleared. Studying and sitting for 1 module is just like 1 A'level paper. So taxing! Anyway, the paper was hard as I had expected. Though it's open book & MCQ, seems to be the perfect combination for any examination paper one could wish for. But hold on. Do you things appear as easy as it is? HELL NO! Haha. Not a single question out of the sixty answer could be located. (okay lah, maybe less than five) Damn. I can only keep my finger crossed now.

For people who would like to read this module (like Wayne & my sci kakis to clear your fac req), think twice. What I can offer is that to be SUPER ATTENTIVE during lectures, clear doubts at once, don't let it drag. and attempt & understand your lab assignments diligently (don't just blindly copy cos' they would be tested!). Biology background? It would definitely be a plus point cause you would be more familiarize with the terms they use. For people who don't have, think twice! Haha.

2 more to go! Marketing & Java. Oh ya, talking about Java.
I'm ABSOLUTELY, TOTALLY, ABSURDLY shocked surprised with my result for the practical exam. Moral booster!

MA1102R & EC1301 Review

MA1102R - Calculus.

Yay. Finally done with this taxing module. The paper was average. Minus away the last page worth of twenty marks. The last page divides the A & B students as usual. And I actually integrate "ln" wrongly! Damn. But well, it's over. No point crying over spilled milk. The rest of the questions were still okay.

For those reading this and would like to take this module during your course of study in NUS, I would advise you to think twice. Haha. It's definitely not a "pull cap" module but minus away those ^$%* challenging question, the module questions are still manageable. Oh ya, make sure you're super well verse with Differentiation, Integration and Limits! They form the main bulk of the module.

EC1301 - Principle of Economics.

Another module done. I changed a lot supposed correct answers to the wrong one! (after Wayne the Pro went through with me some) Damn. I shouldn't have checked and act smart to change the answers! Cos out of 5 which I changed, 3 were correct! -.-" I still hope I would get at least a 3.5 for this module so that I can further my interest in Econs field. Haha, I do have interest in this subject okay! (though my results don't reflect so....)

Many would define this as a "pull cap" module, as it's a full MCQ econs paper. And who don't take econs in JC? WELL, I DON'T! Here's a piece of advice to those without Econs background and would like to take this module, please make sure you have PROs around you to explain the econs concepts, cos' just going to lecture won't help much. Lucky me, I have a bunch of them! :)

Time to prepare for my remaining 3 papers - General Biology, Marketing & Java.
Oneeeee moreeeee weeeeek!

Intensive Mugging for Year1 Sem1

Close to 2 weeks of intensive mugging is coming to an end. Just 1 more week, with many papers in between, I believe, it will zoom past!

Yesterday was at Central Library mugging (again, yes) when the rest totally pangseh me. It was quite a productive one, minus away all the distractions and crappings when the rest are around. Haha. If you realise, my FB wall has been relatively more active than normal for the past one week.

Tmr would be my first 2 papers - Econs & Calculus. Woa!
I hope my efforts paid off well. (:

Is ignorance a bliss?

How to get there:
-Take the very nice comfy MRT train (green line i think) and alight at Pasir Ris (like duh).

-Then take bus 354 and alight when the bus make a loop/or when you see the very big ferry wheel.

-Alternatively, you can give me a call at 98362736 (jot it down now!). I would be very friendly and give you the directions to the place! (:

Note:
I know this is kind of last minute, but please try to revert back your attendance by this Thursday, 17th Sept 2009, so that I can make the necessary F&B arrangements.

For those schooling, take this day as a break before chiong-ing full force for mid-term!
